Tasting notes
Tantalising dark red fruit flavours followed by soft spiciness on the nose and concentrated full flavoured palate. The fine balance between tannins and fresh acidity creates a beautiful lengthy finish.

Food suggestions: Will go well with slow cooked stews such as oxtail or Osso Bucco.

Wine making process
The grapes are transported overnight from Prieska to Stellenbosch. After the 12 hour trip, the organically grown grapes are wholebunch fermented. Grapes are stomped twice a day by the winemaker. After fermentation, the grapes are lightly pressed and then aged for 14 months in older French oak barrels. No finings are used on the wine. Certified organic by Ecocert.

Mooi donker rooivruggeure gevolg deur sagte spesery op die neus lei na ’n vol palet met die mooiste konsentrasie van geure. Die perfekte balans tussen tannien en varsheid gee die wyn sy mooi lengte.

Kosvoorstelle: Stadige warm winterkos soos beesstert of Osso Bucco.

Wynmaak
Die druiwe word oornag van Prieska na Stellenbosch aangery. Na 12 ure op die pad word die organiese druiwe heeltros gegis. Die druiwe word so 2 keer per dag met die voete deurgetrap. Na gisting word die gefermenteerde druiwe baie liggies gepars. Verouder vir 14 maande in ouer Franse eik. Geen breimiddels word op die wyn gebruik nie. Die wyn is organies gesertifiseer deur Ecocert.
