Tasting notes

A fresh nose of red apple and nectarine. Great acidity but light on the palate. A beautiful balancing act between the sweet fruit flavours characteristic of Colombard and the token high acidity of Lowerland's grapes.

Wine making process

Whole bunch pressed, setlled overnight and then fermented naturally in older French oak. Aged for 6 months before second fermentation in bottle. The wine spent 14 motnhs on the lees in bottles before disgorgement in October 2017. Zero dosage was added.

'n Vars neus van rooi appels en nektariengeure. Hierdie wyn balanseer netjies tussen Colombard se kenmerkende soet vrugtegeure en die hoë natuurlike suur eie aan Lowerland se druiwe. Baie verfrissend, so van sy ma af - geen suiker bygevoeg nie. 

Wynmaak
Die heel trosse is gepars, oornag laat lê en toe natuurlik gegis in ouer Franse eikevate. Vatverouder vir 6 maande voor die tweede gisting in die bottel. Die wyn het 14 maande in bottels spandeer voor die gismoer afgeskiet is in Oktober 2017. Geen dosage is bygevoeg nie.
