Beef Tongue is a whole ox tongue from Lowerland Reds — our pastured beef cattle, moved daily to fresh veld and eating only grass, pasture, roughage and mineral licks, with no routine antibiotics, vaccines or hormones. A rich, tender nose-to-tail offal cut — best simmered slowly until tender, then peeled and sliced (delicious pickled or pressed).
Storage
Vacuum-sealed and delivered frozen — please recycle the packaging. Keeps 4 to 12 months frozen (below 0 °C). Once defrosted, use within 3 to 5 days and keep refrigerated.
